DealerTrack Rolls Out DMS Integration for eContracting

Company Says End-To-End Integration Will Provide Seamless Financing Process From Credit App to Contract

DealerTrack, Inc., a technology services company that speeds the total automotive financing process through its DealerTrack(TM) platform, on Jan. 31 announced the rollout of DMS Integration for its eContracting product. "This will provide automotive dealers with a seamless end-to-end auto financing process, from credit application through to contract," said Mark O'Neil, CEO of DealerTrack.


DealerTrack eContracting, launched in late 2002, allows dealers to electronically secure customer signatures and electronically transmit contracts and other rquired data directly to participatng financing sources. This process eliminates time-consuming paperwork and reduces contracts-in-transit, while allowing dealers to receive funding as quickly as the same day, according to O'Neil.

This new integration with top DMS platforms from Reynolds and Reynolds and ADP will now further streamline the electronic contracting process -- eliminating the need for dealers to re-enter contract data into DealerTrack.


"Further reducing any double-data entry required between the DMS and DealerTrack offers tremendous benefit to dealers," said Edward Jen, vice president of product management for DealerTrack, Inc. "This powerful new functionality streamlines the total end-to-end auto finance process. Dealers who use eContracting with DMS integration will find the process to be even more efficient and virtually error-free."


Integration of Reynolds and Reynolds and ADP DMS platforms with DealerTrack's F&I Tool Suite already allows dealers to import and export credit application data with one click. By adding DMS Integration to eContracting, dealers can tap into all the DMS functions they need to build the right contract terms for each individual customer, while still leveraging DealerTrack to fully automate contract transmission and finalization, according to DealerTrack.


"Our work with DealerTrack helps us to offer our customers a more seamless F&I process that is linked tightly with their other core applications," said Mike Berry, senior vice president, Reynolds Services Group. "We see this as another tool offered by Reynolds and Reynolds to save our customers time and improve their cash flow."


"Integrating into our full Front-end Suite allows our customers to seamlessly connect with their financing sources for an improved contracting process," said Bob Karp, senior vice president of eCommerce, ADP Dealer Services. "This integration will help us provide a new level of service and convenience to our dealers."

Dealers already using the DealerTrack eContracting product have expressed strong interest in a link between the product and top DMS platforms, with avoiding double-data entry being the top reason cited by many dealers.


Integration with Reynolds and Reynolds will be available to DealerTrack eContracting customers starting in February, according to O'Neil. ADP integration will follow shortly thereafter, with availability beginning in March.
