AutoPayPlus said Michele Gutierrez returned to its sales team as a regional account manager. With a passion for the automotive industry that was ignited at an early age, she brings over two decades of experience across sales, logistics and leadership.

Gutierrez began her career in the automotive industry in 1996, inspired by her grandfather’s Oldsmobile dealership. She quickly advanced to management roles. In 2001, she transitioned into logistics, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the automotive supply chain by brokering freight across North America. Her leadership skills continued to grow as she took on more prominent roles, further solidifying her expertise in both sales and logistics. The blend of experience equipped her with a deep, multifaceted understanding of the automotive industry.

Her personal experience with AutoPayPlus started while she was an F&I director in Laredo Texas. The service helped potential customers afford more of the extra products they wanted. The solution increased per-vehicle-retailed and product index, which boosted deals and helped her career path as she became a finance-and-insurance top performer.

Her career then led her to join US Equity Advantage, where she covered 23 states, working closely with dealers and finance managers to offer biweekly car payments. The role enabled her to help customers afford protection products, fight high interest rates, and accelerate equity.

In 2014, Gutierrez joined General Motors as an account development manager for CBGC Protection Plans. Her performance earned her swift promotions to area manager, then regional sales manager. During her tenure, she helped enhance dealer relationships, driving regional growth, and leading teams to success.

As Gutierrez steps into her new role, she will drive AutoPayPlus’ business in the Texas and Oklahoma regions.

AutoPayPlus CEO Robert M. Steenbergh said, “Not only does Michele have diverse and impactful experience but also a proven track record of success and an admirable passion for the business. We are excited to welcome her back to the USEA family, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact she will make.”

Reflecting on her career, Gutierrez said, "I am incredibly excited to return to a company that feels like home and to take on the role of Regional Account Manager for Texas and Oklahoma. My passion for the automotive industry, inspired by my grandfather’s Oldsmobile dealership, has driven me through every stage of my career, from selling Buicks to managing logistics and leading regional sales teams. This new chapter brings my journey full circle, and I’m eager to apply my experience to continue serving our customers and partners with the same dedication and enthusiasm that has guided me throughout my career. The opportunities ahead are thrilling, and I look forward to making a meaningful impact with AutoPayPlus."
