5M Facebook Fans Design New Porsche
Porsche unveiled its new 911 Cabrera 4S this week to celebrate the carmaker’s 50th anniversary. It’s a vehicle dreamed up by fans of the automaker’s Facebook page.

STUTTGART — Porsche is adding a new vehicle to its lineup. But the 911 Cabrera 4S wasn’t created by the German manufacturer; it was dreamed up by 54,000 of its Facebook fans.
The new social-media-made model launched when Porsche’s Facebook page reached five million fans. Finished with a sleek ‘Aquabluemetallic’ coat and 20-inch Carrera S wheels painted white, the vehicle model is branded with the slogan, “Personally built by 5 million Porsche fans.”
Currently, the automaker is running another contest this week for fans to take the vehicle for a spin at the Porsche Experience Center in Silverstone.
