Mike Broe has been promoted to vice president of human resources and career development for Manheim Auctions. He will report to Dean Eisner, president and chief executive officer. He was most recently a group vice president of operations.
In this newly created position, Broe will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of the human resources and career development departments. “We have spent much of the past year fine-tuning our program to ensure qualified employees within the Manheim organization receive appropriate training and development,” said Eisner. “Mike will now lead this team - responsible for Manheim’s most important assets – our employees - to the next level.”
Reporting to Broe will be Barbara Osborne, Sandy Sanford and Owen Stephens.
Broe began his career with Manheim in 1987 as finance manager of Minneapolis Auto Auction. He served as factory manager there and as assistant general manager of Portland Auto Auction before being named auction manager of Portland Auto Auction in early 1997. In July 1997, Broe was promoted to general manager of Portland Auto Auction. In 1999, he transferred to Texas Hobby Auto Auction as general manager, a position he held until May 2001 when he was named a group vice president of operations. Broe graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in business.
Mark Brunn has been named vice president and general manager of Remarketing Solutions. He was most recently vice president of career development. He will relocate to Nashville. Brunn now reports to Mike Langhorne, vice president and chief financial officer. Manheim Automotive Financial Services (MAFS) also reports to Langhorne.
Remarketing Solutions provides vehicle resale management to fleets of any size. Headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., Remarketing Solutions employees more than 350 professionals.
Brunn joined Manheim in 1988 as a senior accountant. Later that year he was named controller of California Auto Dealers Exchange and in 1991, he was promoted to assistant general manager of the auction. In 1994, Brunn transferred to Georgia Dealers’ Auto Auction as assistant general manager. In 1995, he was promoted to general manager of Fredericksburg Auto Auction. In 1996, he transferred to Greater Nevada Auto Auction. In 2001, he was named vice president of special operations where he specialized in best practices. In 2002, he became vice president of career development. He graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is a certified public accountant.
