Chrome Systems Corporation, a provider of automotive data,

configuration technology and commerce solutions released a new

inventory management system May 1, Chrome Inventory Everywhere.

Chrome IE is said to be a Microsoft Windows-based desktop data management

tool that enables new and used car dealers to control where, when and

what vehicle inventory data is shown online and in print.

According to the company, Chrome IE enables dealers to transfer inventory from their Dealer

Management System (ADP, R&R, etc), use the system to decode the vehicle data and send the results to online and print

media partners and display it on their Web site. Because the

system decodes VINs, it enables dealers to update each vehicle's

options, features, prices and days in stock, add specifications and

include comments to inventory listings. Multiple lot photos can be

uploaded to represent the dealer's actual vehicles, says Chrome.

Chrome claims after the data has been enhanced, Chrome IE automatically formats

the export file to the exact specifications of each service provider.

The result is accurate pricing and vehicle information

across all published services. Dealers have total control over their

inventory and how detailed it is when posted across numerous sites.

Prices can be changed in real time wherever the inventory is

published, enabling dealers to instantly update their data.

"Chrome IE brings significant cost savings to my dealership due to

the ease of loading the inventory as well as the minimal amount of

time spent managing the inventory and attaching photos," said Ralph

Goddard, director of E-commerce Services, Dimmitt Chevrolet.

Dealers also decide when they want to export the information and

choose the time and frequency of their online and print publications

updates. Dealers or used car managers decide when to change their

prices and export the new information. And because all inventory

information comes from the same file, the dealer ultimately has

control over all of their online vehicle information, according to the company.

"It comes down to accurate pricing and vehicle data across every

published service. When a dealer's vehicle information is consistent

on every online and print service, it decreases pricing errors,

increases consumer confidence and ultimately results in cost savings

for the dealership," said David Mingle, president and COO of Chrome

Systems.

Chrome IE is now available.
