Ga. Dealer Association Takes on Tesla
The association alleges that Tesla violated the terms of its sales license by selling more than the 150 vehicles it was allowed to sell in the state.
ATLANTA —The Georgia Automobile Dealers Association (GADA) petitioned the Georgia Department of Revenue Aug. 29, alleging that Tesla violated the sales license it received from the state. According to the license, the automaker is allowed to sell 150 vehicles in the state per year, but has actually sold 173, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The GADA has requested that the state revoke Tesla’s existing dealer license and prevent the automaker from renewing or reapplying for the license. Tesla has come to blows with dealers in other states, including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Missouri.
