A Kentucky dealership sold this month to a growing auto group in the state.
Knox Ford in Radcliff in the central Kentucky area that’s known as the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln is now Don Franklin Automotive Group’s 28th store, according to Tim Lamb Group, which brokered the sale.
The group, which operates stores for a wide variety of brands throughout central Kentucky, renamed its new holding Don Franklin Radcliff Ford.
Seller Gary Haupt had owned the dealership since 1999 and sold it to focus on a larger Ford store he has in the Louisville area.
“As I continue to look for expansion opportunities in central Kentucky, it’s always a great fit when you find businesses like Knox Ford that have been well run by great people for so many years,” said the auto group’s president, Eddie Franklin, who indicated he’ll keep on all of the dealership’s employees.
