McLEAN, VA — NADA University, the education and training arm of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), has appointed Allen Phibbs as NADA-ATD Academy director. The former dealership management advisor officially assumed his new post on Aug. 30.
Phibbs, a 15-year industry veteran, previously served with the dealership management advisory firm KEA Advisors, has worked with dealerships, manufacturers and association to help drive growth and performance. He’s also 2004 graduate of the ATD (American Truck Dealers) Academy, and has served as a guest instructor for the academy since 1996
“The Academy has earned such an outstanding reputation in our industry, and I’m excited about the opportunity to help build on that foundation and keep the momentum moving forward,” Phibbs said. “Growth is one of my themes, in order to accommodate the strong demand by dealerships for academy programs. Most importantly, we always want to stay focused on doing everything we can to help the students and their dealerships succeed.”
Phibbs replaces James Schoonover, who was promoted to senior director of dealership operations for the NADA.
