PITTSBURGH — Mark O'Neil, president and chief executive officer of DealerTrack, will be the keynote speaker at the Consumer Advocacy Practices in Auto Financing workshop, to be held September 15 by the National Automotive Finance Association.

O’Neil will talk about the increasingly complex regulatory and compliance landscape at both the state and federal levels and the technology available to improve compliance and the customer's experience.

Four panels of experts – legal, auto dealer, lender, and vendor – will discuss best practices in automotive financing that help improve customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and profitability for dealerships.

The legal panel will explore the array of legal issues facing the industry and present common sense tactics to follow. The auto dealer panel will focus on relevant programs and procedures implemented by successful dealerships. The panel of finance experts will deal with initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and controls to insure disclosure and compliance. Finally, a panel of vendors will show the value of menu selling.

The workshop format provides ample opportunity for those attending the workshop to ask questions and exchange information. Those registering for the workshop can add the September 14 DealerTrack seminar, Best Practices in Special Finance, held at the same location, for an additional $100.
