As Reynolds and Reynolds Co. discontinues its next-generation software system, it hopes to retain the 38 dealership group customers that bought the technology, reported Automotive News.

The Reynolds Generations Series Suite was scrapped in July, causing the company to write off $67 million in software development costs. The company is also spending $27 million, part of which is an effort to keep its customers and help them to transition to another Reynolds dealer management system.

Only one dealership group has returned to Reynolds’ competitor, ADP Dealer Services, so far.
