ATLANTA — Manheim has appointed John Eriksen as general manager of Manheim Baltimore-Washington, according to a company announcement. In his new role, he will concentrate on serving clients and improving their auction experienced, the company stated.
Eriksen transitions to his new role with experience in both the sales and operations side of the Manheim business, according to the company. Prior to this transition, Eriksen served as assistant general manager at Manheim Orlando for two years.
"John’s background and well-rounded perspective will be a valuable asset to our team,” said Matt Trapp, Manheim vice president for its Northeast region. “His intimate knowledge of our clients, and overall leadership qualities, marries well with our priorities and goals as an organization.”
Eriksen joined Manheim in 2007 as a sales representative at Manheim Orlando and continued in various leadership roles within the organization, according to the company. He will be returning to the Virginia/Maryland area, where he previously lived when he worked as general sales manager at Manheim in the Mid-Atlantic region.
"During the time I worked in the Mid-Atlantic region, I gained a great perspective of the diversity of our clients and the tremendous potential Manheim has to help dealer business grow in this area," said Eriksen. "It is good to return to the Baltimore area and call it home once again."
