RMS Automotive Adds Carfax Search to Digital Sales Platform
Dealers with a Carfax Advantage account can now use Carfax information when searching for inventory through manufacturers’ digital sales platforms powered by RMS Automotive. BMW Financial Services NA LLC is the first company to incorporate the search function into its RMS-powered digital marketplace.
ATLANTA — Dealers with a Carfax Advantage account can now use Carfax information when searching for inventory through manufacturers’ digital sales platforms powered by RMS Automotive, the two firms announced this week.
BMW Financial Services NA LLC is the first commercial consignor to incorporate the Carfax vehicle history search function into its digital marketplace. Dealers searching for pre-auction inventory found on BMWGroupDirect.com can filter results by four key Carfax data points — reported accidents, number of owners, vehicle use and service records — prior to purchasing.
“RMS Automotive is committed to providing innovative solutions that drive more informed decision-making and further growth,” said Zach Hallowell, general manager for RMS Automotive. “Our partnership with Carfax allows us to provide dealers with a better buying experience on our client-branded marketplaces while also building dealer confidence in manufacturers’ inventory.”
Joe Koenig, vice president of Carfax, added: “Giving critical details about a vehicle’s history to dealers up front helps streamline both the selling and acquisition process. RMS Automotive and BMW Financial Services are meeting the needs of dealers by quickly matching them with vehicles that have the history they want. When everyone has access to the same trusted information the result is a more transparent, trustworthy marketplace.”
RMS Automotive will offer the Carfax vehicle history search capability to additional manufacturers in 2018.
