DETROIT — Land Rover's 2017 Range Rover was honored with an IHS Markit Loyalty Award for the luxury full-size SUV segment. According to the automaker, the honor coincides with a number of new developments for the 2017 edition, including the introduction of the SVAutobiography Dynamic edition and a host of new advanced driver assistance features.
According to IHS Markit’s U.S. owner loyalty analysis, which the firm tracks and analyzes throughout the year, the Range Rover had the greatest percentage of owners from the 2016 model year and earlier who returned to market to purchase or lease a 2017 model.
This year’s awards were based on an analysis of nearly 17.5 million new-vehicle registrations during the 2017 model-year, which ran from Oct. 1, 2016, through Sept. 30, 2017.
