MCLEAN, Va. — Dealers looking for ways to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy are urged to contribute to the Emergency Relief Fund of the National Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation.

The Emergency Relief Fund provides assistance to dealership employees affected by the storm.

“The need is great,” said Bob Mallon, chairman of the NADA Foundation. “We’re off to an encouraging start. We’re seeing state and metro dealer associations across the country, as well as individual dealers, start to contribute to the campaign.”

Last week, the National Automobile Dealers Association pledged $1 million. Since 1992, the Emergency Relief Fund has provided nearly $5 million to more than 7,700 dealership employees.
