ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Automotive Information Systems Inc. (AIS) introduced a new product integrating incentive and rebate information directly into the inventory page of dealership Websites.

AIS uses a two-part system that shows a brief “Total Cash” or “Best APR” amount directly on the inventory list page, as well as a “Details” pop-up showing comprehensive incentive information.

Consumers will benefit by quickly seeing a high-level view of incentives available on a list of vehicles, with the ability to see specific incentive information on their vehicle(s) of interest. Dealers will benefit by providing the information consumers want on their Website.

“The most important piece of information consumers seek, next to inventory, on a dealer’s Website is incentive, rebate and price information.” states Troy Ontko, AIS Rebates’ president and founder. “If we continue to keep incentives a secret, their effectiveness will be minimized. The better we show incentive data, especially in proximity to MSRP listings, the more effective incentives become.”

Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, Texas, was the first dealership to implement the new AIS Incentive Plug-In through its Website provider, DealerTrend Inc. “We recognize the need to provide consumers with the most accurate incentive information possible — if we don’t, someone else will,” said Hagen Durant, Classic Chevrolet’s general manager. “At our store we want to stand out by showing our customers a better value as they look for the new vehicle that is right for them.”

According to Robert Avery, president & CEO of DealerTrend Inc., “Smart integration of current incentive and rebate information into dealer websites is essential. AIS provides us with the ability to present incentive and rebate information intelligently on the dealer Website that is user friendly for the consumer. We are excited to offer the new AIS product to our customers.”
