dealership."
Wells praised dealers for their hard work and
entrepreneurial spirit this year which he said helped to dispel industry analysts' predictions that the Internet would replace the franchised
dealer.
On the industry relations front, Wells told convention attendees that manufacturer-dealer relations remains among the association's top
priorities. Wells also touched on NADA's efforts to address Ford's Blue Oval Certified program and its Lincoln and Mercury counterparts, the Oldsmobile phaseout and the DaimlerChrysler reorganization.
