LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. -- DealerTrack Systems Inc., a subsidiary of DealerTrack Holdings Inc., a provider of on-demand software and data solutions for the U.S. automotive retail industry, announced that Audi of America Inc. plans to integrate its dealer communications platform with the DealerTrack Arkona DMS (dealer management system).

"We are pleased to partner with Audi to provide full integration with its dealer communications system, which should enhance the appeal of the DealerTrack DMS to the more than 270 Audi dealerships across the U.S.," said Raj Sundaram, senior vice president, dealer solutions at DealerTrack. "Audi dealers can be confident that they will be provided state-of-the-art technology at a tremendous value, consistent with all OEM communication requirements. Every Audi dealer will also be offered preferred pricing."

Following the planned integration, Audi dealers using the DealerTrack DMS will be able to access Audi's AIM inventory management system on the same desktop as their DMS applications, and the systems will be fully integrated in real time. The DMS also will be integrated with Audi's financial accounting system. Information will transfer seamlessly from one system to another without having to be re-keyed, eliminating potential data errors. The transactions and communications supported will include repair orders, parts orders and acknowledgements, parts returns, preparation and submission of financial statements, and complete vehicle service histories.

"Many Audi dealers are actively considering DealerTrack's DMS because of its competitive pricing and web-based, 'software as a service' model, as well as the open access it provides to other vendors," said Reinhard Fischer, director of network management at Audi of America Inc. "We are confident that the integration of our existing communications platform with DealerTrack's DMS will create new efficiencies and enhance the flow of timely information to and from Audi dealers – which ultimately will help drive increased sales, profits and customer satisfaction."
