Auto/Mate Adds Credit Card Processing
Auto/Mate has partnered with Worldpay to add a credit card processing feature to its DMS.
ALBANY, N.Y. — Auto/Mate Dealership Systems has added a new credit card processing feature to its dealership management system, the company announced. Credit Card Processing from Worldpay (formerly Vantiv) integrates the Worldpay credit card device and merchant services into Auto/Mate’s “Cashiering” features in its parts, service, and general cash receipts modules.
Executives said the integration eliminates the need for dealership personnel to manually enter credit card type and transaction amounts into the card reader and manually enter information from cash receipts into the DMS.
“This new feature will help to improve the customer experience, save dealership personnel a lot of time and greatly simplify the reconciliation process,” said Mike Esposito, president and CEO of Auto/Mate, adding that customers will benefit from faster credit card processing times, reduction of unnecessary paper credit card receipts attached to other documents, and fewer mistakes made by dealership personnel.
With Credit Card Processing from Worldpay, the repair order or parts invoice becomes the customer receipt, eliminating usage of paper spool receipts. When used with Auto/Mate’s “E-Signature Capture,” service advisors can use a mobile tablet to swipe a customer’s credit card, then email the RO (doubling as the receipt) to the customer. The new feature requires a Worldpay Merchant Card Account and a card reader provided by Worldpay. The Worldpay Portal batches all transactions, further speeding up the reconciliation process, all according to the announcement.
