AutoTrader.com Releases Car Shopping iPhone App
AutoTrader.com’s iPhone app allows users to locate a dealer, access information saved in their MyAutoTrader profiles and scan a vehicle’s VIN barcode to initiate a search.
ATLANTA — AutoTrader.com has released a free iPhone app to enable car shoppers to find cars and dealers near them, utilize location-based features, access an enhanced photo viewer, and find other information to help with the car-buying decision.
"AutoTrader.com has nearly three million listings on our site, making it the No. 1 place shoppers turn to when they're searching for a car online," said Chip Perry, AutoTrader.com president and CEO. By creating a PC-to-pocket experience, “Shoppers can take their searches on the road without sacrificing functionality.”
AutoTrader.com iPhone app users can access information saved in their MyAutoTrader profiles and scan vehicles' VIN barcodes to initiate a search. The app also has a built-in sharing feature that allows shoppers to post vehicle listings to their Facebook profiles.
"The AutoTrader.com mobile site attracts over a million unique visitors each month, with nearly 40 percent of those users accessing the site from an iPhone. By introducing the AutoTrader.com iPhone app, we are able to create a more personalized and robust experience for the largest segment of our mobile audience," Perry said.
The AutoTrader.com iPhone app can be downloaded for free from the iTunes Store.
