Several captive finance companies said last week that they will provide financial relief to victims of last month’s Southern California wildfire. The news accompanies announcements from automakers that they will donate funds to the relief effort.

Toyota Financial Services, Ford Credit, GMAC, Honda Financial and Chrysler Financial are some of the companies making special arrangements for their customers who were affected by the wildfires. Here’s a look at some of the special offers they’re providing fire victims:

Toyota Financial Services: Impacted lease and retail customers who reside in the FEMA-designated disaster areas of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties may be eligible to take advantage of several payment relief options, some of which include extensions and lease deferred payments, redirecting billing statements and arranging phone or online payments. Additionally, qualified residents in these areas needing to purchase a vehicle may also take advantage of a 180 Day Deferred First Payment Program designed to assist customers with their transportation needs as they work through the recovery process. This program is available through participating Toyota and Lexus dealers and TFS.

Ford Motor Credit: It will offer some payment relief to customers affected by the wildfires through the Ford Credit Disaster Relief Program. The program allows customers to delay one or two monthly payments, resuming their regular payment schedules when their situations improve. Ford Motor Credit customers who are eligible for the Disaster Relief Program will be sent letters with instructions on how to register.

GMAC: GMAC has set up a special group within its customer service center to directly handle issues involving customers affected by the fires. They are continuing to work with those customers on an individual basis for appropriate solutions to their current problems. Many relief options are available, but instead of offering an overall option, the customer service staff is working with individuals on a case-by-case basis and doing what’s appropriate for them.

Honda Financial Services: To support their impacted customers, they have special arrangements available including payment extensions and other accommodations, as appropriate. Customers affected by the wildfires should contact the company to discuss available arrangements.

Chrysler Financial: The Chrysler Financial Customer Service Department is offering special assistance to customers who may have concerns regarding their Chrysler Financial accounts. Customers who require special assistance are asked to contact the Customer Service Department.

Automakers are doing their part as well to help the relief and recovery efforts.

Chrysler, Ford, Toyota and Honda have pledged financial, vehicle and manpower aid to assist the government and Red Cross in their efforts to restore order in the affected areas of Southern California. Below are the contributions from each company.

Chrysler LLC and Chrysler Financial announced plans to support the relief and recovery efforts for the thousands of Californians displaced by the fires and the fire departments still battling the blazes in Southern California. The company's philanthropic arm, The Chrysler Foundation, and Chrysler Financial will each donate $100,000 that will go toward much-needed supplies for suffering communities in the area and relief for the rural fire departments that have been stretched to their limits.

Chrysler and Chrysler Financial volunteers will arrive in California on Tuesday, Oct. 30 to coordinate the donations and the distribution of the supplies.

Ford Motor Company pledged to assist in the wildfire relief and recovery efforts in Southern California through the donation of money, vehicles and volunteer manpower. In addition, Ford Motor Credit Company is offering customers affected by the wildfires the opportunity to delay some vehicle payments.

Ford Motor Company immediately is donating 20 specially equipped vehicles to fire and rescue departments in some of the areas most devastated by the fires. Additionally, Ford Motor Company Fund is contributing $100,000 to the San Diego Chapter of the American Red Cross to help with relief efforts.

Longer term, Ford employees in Southern California will be called upon to volunteer time to assist in community recovery and relief efforts through Ford Volunteer Corps.

In addition, Ford Motor Credit announced that it would offer some payment relief to customers affected by the wildfires through the Ford Credit Disaster Relief Program. The program allows customers to delay one or two monthly payments, resuming their regular payment schedules when their situations improve. Ford Motor Credit customers who are eligible for the Disaster Relief Program will be sent letters with instructions on how to register.

Toyota announced that it will be donating $2 million to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts for the California wildfires. This is one of the largest financial gifts the Red Cross has received for the California wildfires. Toyota is also donating Toyota lift trucks and palette jacks that will be used to unload and distribute relief supplies.

Toyota's contribution will assist Red Cross relief efforts throughout Southern California. As wildfires continue to burn across Southern California, the Red Cross is providing residents, firefighters and first responders with shelter, food, water, clean up and comfort kits, and medical and mental health services. The Red Cross has nearly 3,000 workers
