Chrysler Financial's "License to Win" Contest At Camp Jeep 2003
Chrysler Financial, a DaimlerChrysler
Services business unit, announced the two winners of a two-year lease with
the "License to Win" contest. Chrysler Financial invited participants of
Camp Jeep® to guess the number of antenna toppers packed in a new 2003 Jeep
Wrangler Rubicon.
The "License to Win" contest awarded the two participants with the
grand prize of a two-year lease on a new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. The winners
were Susan Lake of Leesburg, Va. and Joe Keller of Centreville, Va. Lake
and Keller both guessed the number 9,800 and the actual number of antenna
toppers was 9,816.
According to Chrysler, Camp Jeep is one of the nation's largest and best-attended annual vehicle
ownership gatherings. The Camp Financial tent, sponsored by Chrysler
Financial, had Dealer Relations Managers on site to discuss the benefits of
financing and leasing. In addition, a roughed-up Jeep Liberty was on
display to discuss The Credit Card Test® used to determine what the
lessee's responsibilities are at the time of vehicle turn-in. Jeep owners
also had the opportunity to apply for a Jeep Rewards Visa® Card. Jeep
Rewards Points can be redeemed for Dealer Dollars certificates to be used
for services or products at participating local Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge
dealerships.
"Chrysler Financial is dedicated to reaching beyond owners, expectations by
providing them with expert advice to help them understand the financing or
leasing of their next Jeep vehicle with Chrysler Financial," said Dietmar
Exler, vice president - Chrysler Brand Marketing for DaimlerChrysler
Services. "Jeep owners were also given an opportunity to explore Chrysler
Financial's broad range of products and services," said Exler.
The company says more than 8,000 people attended this year's Camp Jeep in the Blue Ridge
Mountains, near Charlottesville, Va., June 26-28. Core activities included
the Jeep 101 driving courses, 4x4 trail rides, a specially designed Rubicon
Challenge course and engineering roundtables. Lifestyle activities
available for guests included hiking, kayaking, outdoor survival skills,
fly casting, children's activities and outdoor grilling classes. New to the
event this year was an emerging artist concert series, which featured
outdoor performances from nine new artists to watch that included: Josh
Kelley, Justincase, The Beu Sisters, Alice Peacock, Total Vision, Rachel
McCartney, The Rising, Joe Bonamassa and Paul Christianson. Camp Jeep
concluded on Saturday evening with its traditional "Jeep Jubilee" picnic
dinner and concert, featuring rock group Smash Mouth and grand finale
fireworks.
Camp Jeep is one of several owner-loyalty programs created by the Jeep
Division of DaimlerChrysler and the event has sold out each year. For more
