DealerSocket Clients Get Carfax Snapshot Tool
Carfax's Snapshot Tool is now available to dealers on the DealerSocket website platform. The feature puts key vehicle history details for specific vehicles on search results pages and VDPs

CENTREVILLE, Va. — Carfax announced that dealers on the DealerSocket platform can now add Carfax Snapshot to their websites. The feature puts key vehicle history details — such as reported accidents, number of owners, service records and open recalls — for specific vehicles on search results pages and VDPs. Clicking on the Snapshot takes car buyers to the full Carfax report.
“Transparency is a requisite for success in the current used car marketplace. Having an additional layer of vital Carfax information on our dealers’ websites with the Carfax Snapshot tool helps ensure transparency and build trust for each transaction,” said Aaron Schinke, director of product management for DealerSocket. “It’s another step in our efforts to provide dealers with the most innovative and versatile website solutions available today.”
Dan Drescher, COO of The Autobarn/Richard Fisher dealer group, said vehicle history reports help build buyer confidence. He is optimistic about the Snapshot feature.
“Being one of the region’s leading dealers for over 25 years, our mission has always been putting our customers and their families in safe, reliable cars. Any opportunity for us to tell them about the vehicle’s history, especially farther up the funnel, gets us closer to achieving that mission,” Drescher said. “Thanks to the enhanced DealerSocket solution, we expect the addition of Carfax Snapshot to our website will lead to even more confident, satisfied buyers.”
