Edmunds.com Reengages Carfax
The two firms have signed a new agreement that will allow Edmunds.com users to list Carfax Vehicle History Reports alongside vehicles listed for sale on the vehicle information site.
SANTA MONICA, Ca. and CENTREVILLE, Va. — Edmunds.com and Carfax announced a new agreement that enables dealers and manufacturers to include Carfax Vehicle History Reports with their used cars listed for sale on Edmunds.com. Starting in early 2014, dealers who use Carfax can provide potential buyers with free access to Carfax Reports for vehicles listed on Edmunds.com.
More than 27,000 dealers and 37 manufacturers use Carfax reports for their certified pre-owned programs. Now, they can do the same alongside every vehicle they list on Edmunds.com.
“Providing access to vehicle history reports generates trust between car shoppers and dealers, and we believe that trust makes it easier for car shoppers to buy and for dealers to sell,” stated Edmunds.com Vice President Brian Terr. “Our renewed relationship with Carfax helps Edmunds.com’s community of car shoppers and dealers build trust and move forward together with higher satisfaction in the process.”
Edmunds.com attracts approximately 18 million visitors each month. Re-entering into an agreement with Carfax gives dealers and manufacturers partnered with Edmunds.com another way to merchandise their inventory online.
“Edmunds.com is an incredibly valuable resource for used-car buyers and sellers,” said Bill Eager, vice president of Carfax. “We look forward to a great relationship with Edmunds.com and are excited to see our mutual customers have their Carfax Reports on Edmunds.com once again.”
