Experian Automotive, a division of global information solutions provider Experian, announced that it has named Andrew Sheehan as senior vice president of marketing and product management. In addition, Alan Fuglestad has joined Experian Automotive as vice president of technology.
In his new role, Sheehan will drive the overall marketing and solutions strategy for Experian's automotive division. He will focus on packaging Experian's unique vehicle, marketing, credit and information assets into a solution suite, which the company claims further maximizes value for Experian's automotive clients. Most recently Sheehan served as senior vice president, strategy and business development for QRS Corporation, a retail information services company.
Fuglestad assumes responsibility for Experian's automotive technology group where he will lead in the development, implementation, and fulfillment of information solutions for Experian's customers. This includes data production and management of Experian's National Vehicle Database, the world's largest relational automotive database comprised of more than 425 million vehicles as well as application software development and customer fulfillment activities.
Fuglestad spent the last 21 years at Arthur Andersen where he led efforts that developed, delivered and supported technology solutions for its 35,000 person worldwide professionals services practice.
"Experian is well positioned to deliver exceptional solutions to the automotive industry," said Scott Waldron, president of Experian's Automotive Services division. "Andy and Alan's knowledge of data and technology applications, as well as their understanding of industry best practices, are the skill-sets we looked for to fill these roles."
Experian Automotive offers a complete range of automotive information solutions to manufacturers, dealers, finance and insurance companies and marketing agencies. Experian's technology, consulting services, direct marketing and database tools assist companies serving the automotive industry to better understand existing customers, effectively target new prospects, increase customer satisfaction and loyalty, and ultimately reach their business objectives, according to the company.
