FZA Digital Releases WCAG Dealer Compliance Toolkit
FZA Digital has released ADAPT, a new toolkit designed to help dealers ensure consumers with disabilities can access their websites and avoid ADA lawsuits.

FZA Digital’s new ADAPT toolkit was developed partly in response to a series of lawsuits alleging noncompliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act.

LAKELAND, Fla. — FZA Digital LLC announced the release of ADAPT, a Web Content Accessibility Guidelines toolkit designed to help protect auto dealers. Designed for accessibility and minimal legal exposure, ADAPT includes practical hands-on tools and fully automated web accessibility technical tools, ensuring full compliance at any time, executives said.
“The recent refusal by the United States Supreme Court to hear the Domino’s ADA case means there will be no consistent legal standard to meet ADA requirements. We designed ADAPT by analyzing case law and applying legal as well as technical expertise,” said Ed Barton, CEO of FZ Digital’s sister company, fusionZONE. “The four elements of ADAPT are designed to meet or exceed all published legal standards for ADA accessibility. There is no ‘magic bullet’ solution to ADA Compliance. Having just one element is not enough.”
ADAPT includes a real-time accessibility and auditing tool, a screen reader, an accessibility policy statement, and monthly audits, all designed to help dealers manage the “overwhelming” WCAG guidelines, said Alex Papadopulos, CTO of FZ Digital’s sister company, fusionZONE.
“Full compliance is difficult, if not near impossible, to achieve. But reasonable and timely efforts must be continually made,” Papadopulos said.
