Georgia Dealership Sold
A Tennessee-based automotive group with deep industry history picked up the well-established Honda store, rebranding it.

The Albany, Ga., store has served the metro area for 27 years and has consistently ranked in the top 10% of U.S. Honda dealers for customer loyalty.

A southwest Georgia dealership changed hands as its longtime owner retired.
The Albany Honda store was recently picked up by Long Automotive Group from Graham Edwards, its dealer principal since 2008. Edwards decided to sell his sole dealership to help care for his elderly parents in Alabama.
The deal, brokered by sell-side adviser NBB, resulted in the renaming of the dealership to Long Honda of Albany.
All told, the store has served the metro area for 27 years and has consistently ranked in the top 10% of U.S. Honda dealers for customer loyalty, NBB said.
Long Automotive is based in Chattanooga, Tenn., and operates Buick, Chevrolet, Honda, Hyundai, Genesis, GMC, Mercedes and Volvo stores around its home base.
Nelson Long, after working in sales and management roles at area dealerships, partnered with Andy Trotter in 1976 to operate what was then a Pontiac and Fiat store, growing the business into today’s auto group over the decades.
NBB said it’s closing in on its 1,000th new-car dealership deal since its 1978 founding.
