HOUSTON — The National Alliance of Buy Here, Pay Here Dealers (NABD) has announced preliminary details for the 13th annual National Buy Here, Pay Here Conference, scheduled for May 18–20 at the Venetian Resort and Casino.

“The event this year is a Wednesday to Friday format, with more than 2,000 expected attendees,” said Ken Shilson, NABD founder and conference chairman. “NABD is the largest used-car conference in the United States and the only one exclusively for buy-here, pay-here operators and service providers.”

The 2011 event will kick off with a Wednesday afternoon keynote address from Franklin Covey Co-Founder Greg Link. “Improving the Image of the BHPH Industry” will be the theme of the slate of educational sessions, panels and presentations that follows.

“We must get America to understand that BHPH provides transportation to millions of Americans who otherwise could not obtain the financing needed to purchase a vehicle,” Shilson said. “This event will help those in the business and those who wish to enter it to better understand what is needed to change the negative perceptions many people have of the BHPH industry.”

The new Consumer Financial Protection Act, finding capital, maximizing recoveries, Internet and social media marketing, and vehicle acquisition and reconditioning are among the topics to be covered, and more than 150 sponsors are expected to make the exhibit hall the largest in BHPH history. Two receptions and a luncheon will be held in the exhibit hall to facilitate networking between dealers, experts and service providers.
