MPi to Reveal EDGE WorldClass PORTAL at NADA
MPi’s EDGE WorldClass PORTAL takes the company’s Know Your Vehicle Report and generates personalized web pages that include detailed service recommendations, photos, videos and diagnostics.
LAS VEGAS — MPi announced that it will unveil EDGE WorldClass PORTALat the 2012 NADA & ATD Convention and Expo in Las Vegas. The online platform takes MPi’s Know Your Vehicle Report and generates personalized web pages that include detailed service recommendations, photos, videos and diagnostics.
PORTAL gives customers access to vehicle maintenance history, inspection results and repair recommendations, according to MPi. It also provides an interactive 3-D version of the customer’s vehicle with problem areas pinpointed that the customer can click on to find out more information about the current recommendations.
Other product features include photos of the specific trouble points, video links to short videos with information, capabilities to view information for two vehicles, PDF downloads of the Know Your Vehicle Report and site customization options for the dealership.
PORTAL can be accessed by the service advisor and also is viewable on computers, smartphones, or Apple and Android tablet devices. Service advisors can use it to access information about a vehicle to give a heads-up to the customer about any previously declined service that should now be done.
“Whether the service advisor sits down with the customer at the computer and goes through PORTAL, or the customer accesses it at home, it takes the pressure off any sales pitch for the service advisor and helps the vehicle owner make up their own mind,” said Rich Holland, MPi president. “The customer can review pictures and videos in their own time, perhaps show it to their spouse and take the time to make an informed decision. It empowers our dealers and their customers with knowledge.”
