FLORIDA – Beginning Jan. 1, 2020, NAC now offers a newly developed service contract aimed at non-franchised dealers. The product, marketed as Pre-Owned Plus VSA, features relaxed underwriting guidelines, four levels of coverage, and six add-on options including commercial use, high-tech and hybrid/electrical vehicle coverage, to name a few.
“Pre-Owned Plus is the product we at NAC have been wanting to create for independent dealers for years."
“Pre-Owned Plus is the product we at NAC have been wanting to create for independent dealers for years – a standalone service agreement that has features and options that are normally only available at franchise dealerships,” says Curt Johnson, Senior Director of Product and Development for NAC.
The statistics back up NAC’s decision to develop the Pre-Owned Plus VSA. Analysts expect nearly 40 million used vehicles will be sold this year, with used vehicles sales up nearly 4 percent (compared to new vehicles sales’ 1 percent), with better profit margins for dealers, according to multiple industry sources.
In addition to simplified classing and rating, this all-in-one program also offers features consumers don’t get with NAC’s Elite VSA and coverages competitors don’t offer such as any-year/any-mile, consequential damage coverage and seals and gaskets included on all plans.
