National City to Automate Auto Finance Through DealerTrack
DealerTrack, Inc. says it welcomed National City to the growing community of financing sources participating on its online
auto finance platform. National City joins more than 40 financial institutions and over 20,000 dealerships nationwide using DealerTrack.
Garry Marquiss, senior vice president at National City Corp., explained that National City auto dealers are now able to access the company's financing
programs on DealerTrack 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week. Through the DealerTrack platform, dealers can submit credit applications to National City
and monitor their real-time status, as well as request credit reports and connect with additional financing sources on the platform, according to the company.
National City says its selection of the DealerTrack platform adds to the wide array of online services the bank already makes available to its dealer customers.
These services include National City's own auto shopping tool kit and dealer locator for consumers. National City also offers EzDealer.net, an online
repository of industry news, rate sheets, Internet-based sales leads and weekly newsletters designed for the dealer community.
"National City believes that the automation of the dealer-to-lender relationship can make participants more profitable, productive and informed," said Mark
Dubis, vice president, product manager for National City Corp. "DealerTrack is a key element of our strategy to automate the processes associated with
auto finance. We look forward to the operational efficiencies, cost savings and increased dealer access that will come with our adoption of the
DealerTrack platform."
"National City has shown strong technology leadership in its dealer finance operations," said Mark O'Neil, president and chief executive officer of
DealerTrack, Inc. "DealerTrack is proud to contribute to this success and will strive to build positive results for National City and its customers."
In operation since early 2001, the DealerTrack platform is now processing more than two million credit applications per month.
