San Antonio Federal Credit Union (SACU) says it has joined the DealerTrack online auto finance platform to help automate and
accelerate its interaction with its automobile dealer customers. SACU says it is the first
stand-alone credit union to connect to the DealerTrack platform, which currently has more than 19,000 dealers enrolled.
SACU says dealer customers can use the DealerTrack platform to submit credit applications and monitor the status of those applications in real-time.
DealerTrack says it also allows dealers to access low-cost credit reports, connect with additional lenders and, as a result of a recently announced merger with
Credit Online, have the ability to integrate with ldealer management systems.
DealerTrack says it reduces the time spent manually processing credit applications while decreasing the potential for input errors. The platform fuels a more
profitable and efficient experience for dealers, while it offers lenders like SACU the ability to extract cost out of the application process while offering
faster turn-around time, according to the company.
"DealerTrack is a very well-established channel which our dealer customers encouraged us to use," said Jeffrey Farver, SACU's president and CEO. "We
see DealerTrack not only as a proven leader in this industry, but also as a provider of a set of applications which will quickly become a de facto standard
for many dealer-to-lender interactions."
"San Antonio Federal Credit Union is the first of what we hope will be a growing number of credit unions active on the DealerTrack platform," said Mark
O'Neil, president and chief executive officer of DealerTrack, Inc. "Based on positive feedback from our existing lender customers, and in light of our
ever-growing list of participating dealers, I am confident that SACU will see immediate benefits and increased financing opportunities from linking with
DealerTrack."
