SAN FRANCISCO — Cox Automotive presented its 10th annual Barbara Cox Anthony Automotive Woman of the Year award to Michelle Prim, managing partner of Cascade Auto Group. The award was presented at the National Automobile Dealers Association Convention in San Francisco.

The Automotive Woman of the Year award is for women who demonstrate business leadership and community advocacy and a commitment to furthering the automotive industry. Cox Automotive president Sandy Schwartz presented the award to Prim at the Northwood University Dealer Education Awards annual breakfast during the NADA convention.

“Michelle is an exceptional business and community leader,” said Schwartz. “She has positively influenced our industry and her community while shaping the Cascade Auto Group into one of the most respected dealerships in the country.”

Prim began her career working for the Cascade Auto Group service department in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. After receiving her degree in Finance and Economics from Kent State University, Prim rejoined the dealership to progress in a management role. She served in roles involving title processing, car salles, business management and general management.

Prim has been active in the automotive industry graduating from the NADA Dealer Candidate Academy, representing women dealers on the NADA Board of Directors, serving as chair of the NADART and vice president for the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles Licensing Board. Prim is also a member of the Ohio Automobile Dealers Association and Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers Association.

“Thank you Cox Automotive for recognizing women leaders in the automotive industry and the importance of having a diversified workforce that reflects our customer base,” said Prim. “It’s a true honor to be named as this year’s award recipient.”
