LONG BEACH — Hundreds of customers who bought cars at Hooman Toyota are angry after losing perks of an offer they paid into following the dealership's change of ownership, according to NBC 4 News.

And although the dealership was part of a larger auto group — the Hooman Automotive Group — that still operates other Toyota stores, a company spokesperson told the news outlet that those dealerships will not honor the lifetime packages.

Consumer attorney Stuart Talley noted that this situation could be a case of misleading advertisement. A reasonable person, he said, would be safe to assume that a service package offered by one Toyota dealership within a dealer group could also be used at another Toyota dealership bearing the same name.
