Autotrader Lists Top 20 Tax Refund Cars
The IRS’s new withholding guidelines have reduced the average American’s federal tax refund to $3,140. What kind of used car can your next customer buy with that money? Autotrader’s Chris O’Neill found 20.

ATLANTA — Car buyers shopping for quality pre-owned units this spring have lighter tax refund checks in their pockets thanks to new IRS rules that took effect last year. Hoping to share recommendations for quality used cars available for $3,140 (the current average), Autotrader’s Chris O’Neill did some research and came up with a surprisingly long list.
“Depending on the vehicle you choose and on your individual situation, you may have to kick in a few hundred dollars, but you'll still be able to get a running car in reasonably good shape,” O’Neill wrote.
