Cobalt Group's Newly-Enhanced MotorPlace.com Provides Full-Service Online Resource for Dealers

The Cobalt Group, a provider of e-business products and services to the automotive industry, has announced an all new version of MotorPlace.com, the company's online business management and industry information resource for auto dealers. By offering three online marketplaces, personalized dealer pages and extensive automotive and industry news coverage, MotorPlace.com offers dealers a complete, one-stop resource for managing all of their e-business initiatives, according to John Holt, president and CEO of The Cobalt Group.

MotorPlace.com now features:


MotorPlace Auto Exchange, Cobalt's wholesale auction channels. Through MotorPlace Auto Exchange, dealers can buy high quality vehicles direct from lessors before they're shipped off to auction, according to Holt.


PartsVoice(R), now located exclusively on MotorPlace.com, is the largest database of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts on the Web, according to Holt, with 38 million parts from 9,000 participating dealers. The new PartsVoice Parts Locator on MotorPlace.com provides customized search preferences, enhanced e-mail parts requests, daily parts inventory updates and Discount Parts Locator.


Pick-or-Pass, a tool designed to help dealers cut lead costs, offers a low-cost alternative to online buying services by allowing dealers to view leads before they purchase them and pay for only those leads they choose to pursue.


MyMotorPlace, a personalized Web portal for Cobalt's auto dealer clients that offers secure access to the full suite of Cobalt e-business and CRM tools designed to help dealers successfully manage their online businesses and strengthen customer relationships. MyMotorPlace gives dealers access to all of their Cobalt e-business tools including myCarTools(TM), Lead Manager(TM), AdWizard Plus(TM), AutoShow(TM), and TrafficReporter(TM), as well as Cobalt's product updates, service announcements and communications.

Resources such as enhanced stock quotes and personalized U.S. and international weather information as well as a calendar of events, an industry directory and a new- and used-vehicle locator tool, with more than one million new and used vehicles from more than 8,500 dealers.
