PORTLAND, Ore. -- To help California auto dealers understand the regulations in the state’s Car Buyer’s Bill of Rights, effective July 1, Compli will present a free Web seminar titled "California Car Buyer's Bill of Rights -- Requirements and Implementation Strategy." The webcast is scheduled for Tuesday, June 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. PDT. It will feature experts in litigation, compliance systems and the new regulations:

In addition to regulations pertaining to F&I, sales management, desking, employment practices, workplace safety, and more, dealerships in California will soon be subject to new regulations affecting their documentation and disclosure responsibilities, including:
Offering a two-day cooling-off period for used-car buyers
Giving consumers the option to sign a contract to return a vehicle within three days
Requiring disclosure to a customer of his or her credit score
Limiting the use of the term "certified vehicle"
Providing consumers with cost breakdowns
Capping profit on certain loans
