Jack Roush To Rev Up SEMA Show at New Product Awards Breakfast, Tuesday, Nov. 4
Jack Roush will
kick the SEMA Show 2003 into high gear with his opening remarks at the
2003 SEMA New Product Awards Breakfast, according to the company.
The breakfast, where SEMA will announce the ten winners of the show’s
New Product Awards competition, is set for Tuesday, Nov. 4, 8:00-8:45
a.m. in the Las Vegas Convention Center Room N245, and precedes the
show’s 9 a.m. opening.
"Jack Roush is the perfect speaker for our industry," said Peter
MacGillivray, SEMA vice president of marketing and communications.
"He's a hotrodder at heart, with great insight about our industry and its
future. We couldn't be happier that Jack accepted our invitation to
speak."
Roush, a seven-day-a-week racer and businessman, loves cars,
competition and technology in equal proportions. The Livonia, Mich.,
racing entrepreneur has been successful in more different kinds of auto
racing than any other American in history. No other racer has amassed
more trophies in more different kinds of racing in 33 years of racing than
Roush, competing as driver, builder, tuner, engine man and team owner.
Roush cars have won almost 300 races and 29 championships.
Between race weekends, Roush runs Roush Industries, a diversified
engineering company with more than 2000 people at 50 locations in the
United States, Mexico and England. Roush Industries does projects for all
three Detroit-based carmakers, and has divisions working in the aviation,
electronics, emissions, optics, vibration analysis and attenuation, and
project management industries.
One division, Roush Performance Products, designs and builds a
complete line of high-performance Ford Mustangs, Ford F-150 pickups
and is adding the Ford Focus for a network of 125 Ford dealerships
around the country. The high-performance, limited-production vehicles
have high visual impact, excellent acceleration, enhanced braking
capability, and world-class handling. To date, Roush has delivered more
than 5,000 Roush vehicles to the performance aftermarket.
New Product Awards will be given for the best new off-road/4-wheel drive
product, best new packaging design, best new accessory product, best-
engineered new product, best new performance street product, best new
performance racing product, best new street rod/custom car product, best
new merchandising display, best new pickup/SUV/van product, and best
new mobile electronics entertainment product. The award winners are
chosen by a group of industry experts and specialists.
The winners, along with more than 1,100 other new products at SEMA
Show 2003, will be on display throughout the show’s four days in the New
Products Showcase located in the Convention Center’s North Hall. Each
new product will have an information sheet of its own, with photograph,
description, manufacturer information, and the number of the SEMA Show
booth in which the product is also being shown.
The SEMA New Product Awards breakfast is open to all attendees at
SEMA Show 2003 at no change, but tickets will be required for admission.
