Jim McDavid Promoted to JM&A Group's Vice President, North America Sales
Lou Feagles, president of JM&A Group (JM&A) has announced the promotion of Jim McDavid to vice president, North America Sales, JM&A Group.
McDavid, who most recently held the position of area manager of the southwest United States for JM&A, will now have responsibility for the direction and leadership of JM&A's sales force of more than 300 sales professionals. He will oversee the strategic planning of sales-related initiatives, as well as sales administration.
Since joining JM&A in 1988, McDavid has worked in various positions including district manager, regional manager, divisional sales manager, divisional manager and zone manager. Prior to joining JM&A, McDavid broke into the automotive retail industry as a salesman in Toyota City in Birmingham, Alabama. Later he worked his way through the ranks at Metropolitan Toyota and Coker Mazda, both in Mobile, Alabama, where he held positions as lease manager, F&I manager, sales manager, and general sales manager.
McDavid served six years in the U.S. Navy, where he received an honorable discharge. He and his wife Maria will reside in South Florida with their son Jordan and his daughter Randi, who will attend college in Florida.
