Manheim's Used Car Market Report Receives Award for Fifth Year in a Row
The Nashville chapter of the Public Relations Society of America awarded its highest honor, the Parthenon Award, to Manheim Auctions for the 2002 Used Car Market Report.
The report, released Jan. 26 at the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) annual convention in New Orleans, is an annual comprehensive study of the $376 billion used car industry that has become the primary resource document for companies involved in the used-vehicle marketplace.
“We are very honored to receive this award,” said Tom Webb, Manheim’s chief economist and author of the report. “We introduced some new features in this year’s report, including the Manheim Used Vehicle Value Index, which have helped demonstrate how truly dynamic our industry is.”
“This award is well-deserved,” said Dean Eisner, president and CEO of Manheim. “It recognizes the extensive research, writing and design efforts that Tom and his team have undertaken to make the UCMR a valuable tool for everyone in the automotive industry. I believe there is nothing else that even comes close to the quality of information and professional analysis in the UCMR.”
