New Black Book Product Introduced
Black Book/National Auto Research recently introduced their new used car program, Used Car XPRESS™ Downloadable.
“Our original used car program was updated by receiving and installing a new CD each month,” said Mike Compton, Black Book IT director. “This new downloadable program is updated weekly instead of monthly, so our customers have more timely information available to them, and by using our web site to download the program, we eliminate the possibility of a faulty CD or any delay in delivery. The program is quickly and easily downloaded and does not affect software functionality and performance.”
According to the company, the new downloadable program contains four classifications of wholesale, retail and trade in values for the past 15 model years of cars and light duty trucks. Values are available for each state, or as a national value. The data may be accessed by entering either the VIN or the Universal Vehicle Code (UVC), or by selecting year, make, model, series and body style in drop down boxes. The program contains built-in mileage and equipment adjustments, and in addition to current values, returns original MSRP, loan value and projected residual values. Additional features of the program include both finance and lease payment calculators and the ability to save, retrieve and update vehicle appraisals. Convenience features include a calendar and calculator.
