Nashville service center announced June 17 that Gail Southwell is the new director of
human resources for Primus and Ford Credit.
According to the company, Southwell is responsible for managing human resources for the 2400
employees at Primus headquarters and the Nashville service center as well
as supporting the 25 Ford Credit branches in the Atlanta and Memphis
regions and 34 Primus branches nationwide.
Previously, Southwell served as the director of human resources for
both the Ford Credit Colorado Springs service center and Fairlane Credit,
also in Colorado Springs. Her responsibilities in Colorado also included
the Ford Credit and Fairlane Credit Detroit, Denver and Chicago regions,
serving 22 Ford Credit branches and seven Fairlane Credit branches.
The company says Southwell is a 28-year Ford Motor Company veteran. She began her Ford
career as an hourly employee in the Ypsilanti (Mich.) plant and has held a
number of human resource positions in labor relations, compensation
planning and salaried supervision in Ford Motor Company plants around the
country.
