Toyota Has Record October
Global sales, production strong on demand, recovering chip supplies.
In Asia, Toyota faced increased competition and saw sales rise just a little more than 1%.

Toyota said it posted a record October for sales and production as it got solid demand from North America and Europe.
The Japanese automaker said it produced 1,035,569 vehicles worldwide, up 12% year-over-year, and sold more than 970,000, up about 6%.
Its sales in North America were up 7.4% to nearly 230,000, including about a 5% bump in the U.S. to about 195,800. It credited healthy demand for hybrids and waning semiconductor shortages.
Sales in Europe were up even more, 15% to nearly 93,648.
In Asia, Toyota faced increased competition and saw sales rise just a little more than 1%. It listed the reason simply as “China.”
The bright spot for it on the continent was India, where sales jumped about 67%, balancing out drops in Pakistan, Thailand and Vietnam due to economic downturns.
