Sports utility vehicle shopping among luxury-vehicle consumers rose slightly in the fourth quarter but slipped year-over-year, according to a Kelley Blue Book report.

SUV shopping in the segment increased by a percentage point to 68%, down from 70% a year earlier.

Luxury car shopping fell from 53% to 51%, the report indicated, though that was up from 49% a year earlier.

The report said the most shopped-for luxury SUV during the quarter was the Buick Enclave, which overtook the Cadillac Escalade, the No. 1 model in the previous three quarters. It said the Enclave hadn’t been at the top of the list in almost seven years.

The Acura MDX, Lexus RX and BMW X5 rounded out the top five.

The most shopped-for luxury cars were the BMW 3 Series, the Cadillac CT5, the BMW 5 Series, the former No. 1, Tesla Model 3, and the Acura TLX.
