In response to the continuing growth of its agency partners network, AutoPayPlus has expanded its sales team with the addition of Damon Walker as agency development manager.
Experienced in finance, sales, service and consulting, Walker is an automotive software and data executive with over a decade of sales-leadership experience. His focus on building strong relationships through thought-leadership discussions and delivering problem-solving solutions has led to tangible and profitable sales success in the industry.
Most recently, Walker was senior vice president of partnerships at online insurance provider SimplyIOA, building and executing partnership strategies for clients in the home and automotive sectors to optimize revenue growth.
His career also includes roles of increasing responsibility with MAX Digital, which provides marketing and sales management software for auto retailers. As senior director of customer success, he developed deep selling relationships that resulted in an 87% client retention rate, and outperformed new business sales goals by providing new solutions to meet growing business needs. Walker holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of South Florida.
“Damon Walker comes to AutoPayPlus at an inflection point for our company as we prepare to roll out new fintech solutions to meet the needs of auto dealers in an evolving and challenging industry,” said company CEO Robert M. Steenbergh. “Damon together with Agency Development Manager Alex Mills will make a formidable team to advance these solutions.”
“My career success has been guided by the wisdom of Ford Motor Company Founder Henry Ford who once said, ‘If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself,” Walker said. “I’m thrilled to join AutoPayPlus and help the sales team drive success for our agent partners.”
