CLIFTON PARK, N.Y.Auto/Mate Dealership Systems struck a partnership with Experian Automotive to provide its dealer clients with Experian’s AutoCheck vehicle reports using AutoCheck FreeLink technology.

“AutoCheck gives consumers the information they need to understand important aspects of a used vehicle’s history,” said Mike Esposito, president and CEO of Auto/Mate. “These unique, detailed reports help increase sales by giving consumers the confidence to make purchasing decisions.”

Dealers will be able to access AutoCheck reports for prospective customers using Auto/Mate’s Automotive Management Productivity Suite (AMPS).

The AutoCheck report features the AutoCheck Score, which distills large amounts of vehicle information into a simple, numeric score listed as a number from one to 100. The AutoCheck Score accurately summarizes the individual items and events in a vehicle’s history in a way that consumers can readily understand, including accidents or frame damage, mileage, odometer history, number of owners, emissions history, whether it has ever been repossessed or stolen or used as a government vehicle, police car or taxi, along with title brands such as Flood, Junk and Salvage. The report also includes an AutoCheck Score Range, which compares the car to other vehicles of similar age and class to better help consumers when evaluating a used vehicle.

“Having the means to quickly and easily help a car buyer understand the important events in a vehicle’s history is critical to any dealer needing to build consumer confidence in their inventories and close more sales,” said Scott Waldron, president of Experian Automotive. “We are excited to partner with Auto/Mate in bringing their dealer clients the tools they need in giving their customers peace of mind when it comes to buying a used vehicle.”
