Hyundai Motor Group
Hyundai Motor Group is continuing its investment in technology innovation with its first HMG Tech Talent Forum, scheduled for Sep. 17 through Sept. 28 at the San Jose McEnery Center in Silicon Valley, where it will also launch a Global Tech Talent Recruitment program.
The South Korean automaker said the initiatives are “designed to attract leading global technology professionals” and expand “its business portfolio into innovative sectors, including artificial intelligence ... and robotics.”
The announcement comes just six months after Hyundai partnered with tech company Nvidia to develop autonomous vehicles, “smart” factories and robotics.
The forum in California will be a conference-style event featuring open discussions with technology leaders representing HMG. It will feature a technology-focused session organized into themes including AI, robotics, autonomous driving, smart manufacturing, software and IT, and battery/hydrogen.
"Building on Hyundai Motor Group’s momentum toward becoming a global mobility leader, we are focused on securing top-tier tech talent to lead future technologies, such as physical AI. The HMG Tech Talent Forum will serve as a meaningful opportunity to discover top talent and foster technical collaboration,” said Hae In Kim, executive vice president and group chief human resources officer at Hyundai Motor Group.
The Global Tech Talent Recruitment program is a chance for people to apply for various positions at HMG between April 20 and May 22. Candidates who pass initial interviews will be invited to the forum for final interviews on site.
