GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — Eight auto auctions from across the U.S. were named to Chase Auto Finance’s 2012 Chase Cup for Auction Excellence. The awards were handed out during the National Auto Auction Association’s annual conference in Orlando, Fla.

The 14th annual Chase Cup award recognizes auto auctions across the country for their exceptional performance in retention, efficiency, expense control, accuracy, sales, operations and service delivery. Chase reviewed the performance of 33 of the nation’s best auto auctions from August 2011 through July 2012.  The review examined data measuring how well the auctions handled preparation, sales, invoice processing, transport requests, title processing and other capabilities.

“We’re pleased to recognize these auctions’ elite performance and their distinguished contributions to the used-vehicle industry through the Chase Cup,” said Sandra Broderick, senior vice president and operations executive for Chase Auto Finance. “This award reaffirms Chase Auto Finance’s commitment to exceptional customer service and tailored financial solutions.”

ADESA Cincinnati-Dayton won the overall Chase Cup for best national auction. It was the second year the auction house was recognized for delivering the best regional performance in the Midwest.

Other multiple winners included ADESA Golden Gate, which won for lease returns, highlines and best regional performance in the West. Manheim Seattle also received two national awards for custom finance and for prime/near prime/direct finance.

Chase also presented national awards to Columbus Fair Auto Auction for service delivery and to Manheim Pennsylvania for Internet live auction penetration. Columbus Fair was recognized for its efforts in preparing vehicles for sale and for processing the post-sale transactions and documentation, while Manheim Pennsylvania was recognized for selling the greatest percentage of vehicles online during its live auction lane sales.

Chase recognized three other regional winners as top performers:
