ATLANTA -- COINdata LLC, a provider of technology solutions for the automotive industry, has released two new products designed to change the way dealerships process paperwork, focus on compliance and protect consumers from identity theft.
The autoPEN digital pen and paper system features a digital ballpoint pen that a consumer uses to fill out a credit application that is printed on smart paper with a paper fingerprint created from millions of tiny dots. A built-in camera captures everything written on the smart paper including words, signatures and images, and the pen then goes into a docking station where the stored information transfers automatically to the dealership’s computer system, creating an electronic version of the credit application.
At the end, the consumer leaves with the original application while the dealership has the electronic version on file.
In addition, COINdata’s docuPAD is a desktop-sized, interactive and digitized display system that creates an electronic deal jacket, transforming contracts, menus, vehicle service agreements and other forms from paper documents to e-documents that can help dealerships protect consumers from identity theft.
Designed to sit in the center of a business manager’s desk, the oversized docuPAD features split-screen capabilities that enable it to be viewed in two different languages simultaneously during the presentation process.
Users write and sign on the screen with a digital pen as docuPAD records every mark and signature. An interactive menu guides the business manager through the electronic deal jacket, ensuring that each document is properly signed and the deal is in order.
