Honda Tops U.S. Hybrid Sales
Automaker, which says it outsold competitors in the segment last year, is aiming for an all-electric lineup by 2040.

Honda will introduce its first all-electric SUV this year, the Prologue.

Honda said two of its hybrid models led U.S. hybrid sales last year, its CR-V the best-selling hybrid overall and the Accord hybrid sedan the best-selling hybrid car.
The Japanese automaker sold more than 197,000 units of the CR-V sports-utility hybrid in the U.S., while its hybrid version of the Accord sold more than 96,000 units.
Last year Honda delivered more than three times the electrified models it sold in 2022, for a company record and over a quarter of all sales, it said.
The company has now sold more than a million electrified vehicles. It introduces its first all-electric SUV this year, the Prologue, whose name appears to foreshadow the all-electric future it’s targeting.
Honda said it aims to have a fully electric lineup by 2040 with a combination of battery-electric and fuel-cell electric models.
Honda is also introducing a hybrid Civic this year.
