Nissan Rogue Gone Rogue?
Probe opened to determine whether steering loss incident pervasive or isolated.

The NHTSA investigation seeks to determine if the reported steering issue extends to other 2021 Nissan Rogues.

Safety regulators are investigating a consumer report of loss of steering control in a Nissan SUV.
If substantiated, the issue centers on an inner tie rod failure, said the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in a preliminary report.
A 2021 Nissan Rogue owner reported the problem, saying it manifests on both the driver and passenger sides of the crossover, which in some cases had to be towed for repair when the issue occurred. No crashes or injuries were reported.
The federal agency is working to determine if the problem is more widespread and what the root cause might be. It estimated there are more than 77,000 Rogues from that model year in operation in North America.
